Gülälekli Depe farming society, located in the Gubadag district of Dashoguz velayat, has managed to develop 100 hectares of farmland. The society is managed by entrepreneur Sarybay Hanbayev.
The farming society harvested 2 tons of cherries and 5 tons of plums from 35 hectares this year. Gülälekli Depe is currently harvesting apples and pears to achieve the target of 10 tons.
This year, the farming society expects around 150-200 tons of grape harvest from 5 hectares where the farmers planted 5,300 seedlings of 23 sorts.
Gülälekli Depe also collected 80 tons of potato from 5 hectares. The society plans to harvest about 100 tons of onion by autumn.
Over the recent years, thousands of hectares were allocated to Turkmen entrepreneurs for the cultivation of import substitution crops.
