Turkmen Enterprise Aims to Export Computers
Experimental delivery will be approximately of 3 thousand computers. Moreover, the annual capacity of the enterprise is 500 thousand computers.

Agzybirlik Tilsimat will produce an experimental batch of 3 thousand computers. The company’s production line is currently expanding.

The joint venture Agzybirlik Tilsimat was established in 2008 by the Computer Technology Center under the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan in collaboration with the Chinese Hengsheng Lianhua Investment Management Co. Ltd. and Tongfang Hongkong Limited with the aim of manufacturing computer equipment in Turkmenistan.

The company employs highly qualified specialists certified by Tsinghua University, which ranks first in the national rating of Chinese educational institutions and is included in the top world educational ratings. This higher education center, whose specialists are developing the most promising areas of scientific research, is the founder of Tongfang Hongkong Limited.

Experimental delivery will be approximately of 3 thousand computers. Moreover, the annual capacity of the enterprise is 500 thousand computers. With that production rate, it is possible to fully satisfy the demand of Turkmenistan with domestic computers in half year.

Initially, the joint venture was aimed at resolving issues raised by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on import substitution. Today there is a second direction of growth, which is the re-export of the brand. This means that the computers of Turkmen brand will also be delivered to neighboring countries, as Agzybirlik Tilsimat is the only computer equipment manufacturing plant in Central Asia.

The joint venture also works closely with Microsoft, the largest multinational software company, and Intel, a leading manufacturer of electronic devices and computer components. They have already recommended their customers in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan to purchase the computers of Turkmen brand.

This year, the enterprise produced 80 thousand training devices for first-graders. The program loaded into them performs 198 different educational functions and works in three languages: Turkmen, Russian and English. All applications are designed for primary school students and include basic subjects that children will learn in their first three school years.

The first computer manufacturing enterprise in Turkmenistan is set to create more similar plants. They are likely to open in near future. This fully complies with today’s requirements, because only in conditions of competition can we talk about qualitative growth.
