OSCE to Hold Technical Meetings in Turkmenbashi International Seaport
OSCE held two technical workshops, within the framework of the project, with port authorities in Aktau and Kuryk on October 2 and 3, respectively.

As part of an Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s (OSCE) project on strengthening green ports and connectivity in the Caspian Sea Region, the organization will hold technical meetings in Ashgabat and the Port of Turkmenbashi in late October, OSCE said in a press release issued on October 4.

The project covers the ports of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan as well and aims to help facilitate trade flows from Asia to Europe through the Caspian Sea by making them faster, cheaper and more sustainable, OSCE noted in the document.

The regional approach aims at strengthening regional connectivity between the main ports of these three countries by establishing a digital platform to reduce trade costs, facilitate information exchange and increase overall efficiency and security along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

OSCE held two technical workshops, within the framework of the project, with port authorities in Aktau and Kuryk on October 2 and 3, respectively. Officials from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan also convened in a regional briefing for representatives of the project’s beneficiary countries that took place on October 4 in the port of Baku.
