Maryazot chemical plant of the State concern Turkmenchemistry established the production of a widely used reagent - caustic soda.
The plant’s specialists developed and built a pilot industrial installation operating on local raw materials for the production of the reagent. The producers, in cooperation with the scientists of the Institute of Chemistry of Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, introduced the temporary technological regulations for the production of liquid caustic
Scientists have tested the calcareous method for producing sodium hydroxide solution in the laboratory. The reagent produced at Maryazot plant fully complies with the requirements of the TDS-2263-79 standard and will be used in Turkmenistan’s oil, gas and chemical industries.
Caustic soda, also known as sodium hydroxide, is used in many industries: in the manufacture of pulp and paper, textiles, drinking water, soaps and detergents, and as a drain cleaner.
