The Bulgarian government approved the Agreement on cooperation with Turkmenistan in the field of postal and electronic communications and information technologies, Bulgarian Nova TV reported on Friday.
The document focuses on the exchange of regulatory information, market principles and liberalization in the communications sector. The agreement provides for the possibility of signing contracts for direct cooperation between the telecommunications and postal operators of both parties.
The bilateral agreement was signed within the framework of the Fourth session of the Intergovernmental Bulgarian-Turkmenistan Commission for Economic Cooperation, which was held in Turkmenistan’s Avaza National Tourist Zone on August 11, 2019. Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov headed the country’s governmental delegation.
