EASA Confirmed Ashgabat International Airport’s Compliance With Aviation Security Standards
EASA experts gave a good assessment of the work to ensure the safety of Turkmen airlines’ flights and the equipment of the Turkmenistan’s airports.

Audit conducted by the Experts of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) confirmed the compliance of Ashgabat International Airport with international aviation security standards, head of the  Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmenistan Airlines) State National Service Dovran Saburov reported to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers on Monday.

The head of the agency said that EASA experts gave a good assessment of the work to ensure the safety of Turkmen airlines’ flights and the equipment of the Turkmenistan’s airports.

In this regard, the Head of the State emphasized that this indicates the high level and quality of domestic air transport services, which allows for arranging passenger flights in the European direction.

Considering that the Türkmenhowaýollary agency operates on a self-supporting basis, the head of state instructed Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bayramgeldi Ovezov to comprehensively study the issue of establishing air links with the European Union cities and to prepare an action plan considering market prices in this regard.

The agency’s European partner FlyTurkmenistanAirlines.EU travel agency announced on its website that the Turkmenistan Airlines will resume flights from Ashgabat to Frankfurt starting October 26.

The EASA is an agency of the European Union (EU) with responsibility for civil aviation safety. Based in Cologne, Germany, the agency was created on 15 July 2002, and reached full functionality in 2008.
