UIET Hosted Meeting on Turkmen-Georgian Trade Relations
Turkmenistan’s exports to Georgia amounted to $119 million in 2017, while importing about $22 million.

The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) hosted a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Akaki Sagirashvili, the Union announced Tuesday.

The Chairman of the UIET briefed the guest about the activities of the Turkmen entrepreneurs in developing the private sector of the Turkmen economy, and to promote investment projects.

During the talks, the sides discussed the aspects of diversification of the Turkmen-Georgian cooperation in the trade and economic spheres. They particularly emphasized the role of the Turkmen-Georgian Intergovernmental Working Group on Trade Issues.

The parties also discussed the vectors of cooperation between the business circles of the two countries.
