Carpet weaving enterprise located in Lebap’s Halach etrap, produced a 215 m2 huge carpet.
80 craftswomen used about 800 kilograms of yarn to weave the carpet.
In recent years, Halach carpet weaving enterprise, launched in 1986, built and commissioned new workshops that employ 200 people. The carpet factory currently employs over 2.2 thousand people. The enterprise’s carpets of sizes 30-40 m2 are in high demand.
The production of carpets and rugs at the Halach carpet weaving enterprise for the first time exceeded 9.1 thousand m2 last year.
The enterprise also weaves large carpets of sizes ranging from 70 m2 to 180 m2 on special orders.
In order to increase the production of the popular products, work is underway to open branches of the enterprise in rural areas. The enterprise employs 230 carpet weavers who work from home.
