The geological exploration expedition of the Turkmengeology State Corporation completed the preliminary exploration of the Gyzylgaya iron ore deposit. The Tuarkyr exploration party identified reserves of the C-1 and C-2 categories on the Chagyl area. To determine the prospects for their use in the metallurgical industry, technological tests will be conducted. Iron ore is currently used in the production of cement.
After technological tests of the raw materials, geologists will begin a detailed exploration of the field to obtain maximum information about its structure and patterns of mineral deposits. Laboratory tests conducted at the State Corporation confirmed the unique properties of the ore - a high concentration of iron and the ability to easily be enriched.
The reserves of natural iron, located on an area of more than 250 hectares, allow for the extraction of fossil raw materials with an open pit mining method. An important condition for industrial development is the proximity of the iron ore deposit to the North-South railway, which will optimize the supply of raw materials to the country's industrial centers.
For several years, the Turkmen exploration expedition has been searching in the mineral rich Tuarkyr region. During this time, geologists discovered deposits of bentonite, kaolin, brown and oxidized coal, which can be widely used in industrial production.
