Turkmen citizens who are participants in international transport activity on the territory of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan will be able to obtain a visa to Azerbaijan at the Baku International Sea Trade Port through the ASAN Viza system, the Azerbaijani media reports.
Earlier on February 22 this year, the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan approved the “Agreement on the simplification of the visa regime for participants in international transport activity on the territory of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan”, signed on November 22, 2018.
ASAN Visa has been launched in 2017 to simplify the visa issuance procedure for foreigners seeking to come to Azerbaijan. The number of visas issued through this system reached 685 thousand last year.
In 2018, several terminals of this system were launched at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
