Turkmen President Attends CIS Informal Summit in St. Petersburg
Upon arrival at the venue of the informal meeting of the CIS Heads of State, the Turkmen Leader was warmly greeted by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated in an informal summit of CIS Heads of State, which was held on Friday in St. Petersburg.

At the Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was greeted by Russian officials and members of the Turkmen delegation.

Upon arrival at the venue of the informal meeting of the CIS Heads of State, the Turkmen Leader was warmly greeted by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

After mutual greetings, an informal summit of CIS leaders kicked off in a narrow format. Opening the meeting of the CIS Leaders, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Heads of State agreed to jointly prepare for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

During the October summit of the CIS Heads of State in Ashgabat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan was ready to provide support and assistance in implementing the main events to prepare and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Back then, the CIS Leader also approved the Address by the Heads of CIS participating states to the people of the Commonwealth and the world community in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov, President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon, and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon are also attending the informal CIS Summit in St. Petersburg.
