Turkmenabat Garaköli Bagana Factory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan annually produces 2 thousand hats, 2-3 thousand fur coats and sheepskin coats.
The factory, by order of the state institutions of Turkmenistan, produces earflaps, leather and yufts, sheepskin coats, fur coats, shoes and belts.
The construction of the Turkmenabat Garaköli Bagana Factory started in 1928. The plant was commissioned in 1932. In those years, its capacity was able to process 150-200 thousand fur per year.
After the major reconstruction works in 1966, the annual processing capacity of the factory increased to 1.45 million furs.
The raw materials of the plant are purchased from private households. The plant uses Russian equipment for the production of fur products.
