Turkmenistan Exports First Batch of Diesel Fuel to Makhachkala Port
Makhachkala International Commercial Seaport, located on the western coast of the Caspian Sea, is the only year-round open port of Russia in Caspian Sea.

Baltflot-15 tanker with 6 thousand tons of diesel fuel from Turkmenistan aboard arrived on Wednesday at the Makhachkala Commercial Seaport, Neftegaz.RU portal reports.

According to the document, the port's management initially plans to monthly receive about 40 thousand tons of fuel oil and diesel fuel from Turkmenistan, and then increase the transshipment volume of petroleum products to 100 thousand tons.

Makhachkala International Commercial Seaport, located on the western coast of the Caspian Sea, is the only year-round open port of Russia in Caspian Sea.

A meeting of representatives of transport, sea port and logistics institutions of Russia and Turkmenistan took place in Moscow in July this year. The parties of the meeting discussed the launch of ferry services between the cities of Turkmenbashi and Makhachkala.
