Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) for a third term elected businessmen Halil Avci as the Chairman of the Turkmen-Turkish Business Council, Turkish media reports.
The Chairman of Halil Avcı Group of Companies, which has implemented several large-scale projects in Turkmenistan, will be responsible for pursuing business diplomacy with Turkmenistan for the next two years.
In his speech, Turkish businessman said that Turkmenistan, the shining star of Central Asia, is rapidly moving towards becoming the logistics center of Central Asia.
Avci added that he will continue his efforts to further develop special relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey based on mutual respect, cooperation and “One Nation, Two States” principle.
Halil Avci Group of Companies, headquartered in Adana, Turkey, has been active for more than forty years in the construction industry. Besides Turkmenistan, the company has commissioned a number of facilities in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and Equatorial Guinea.
