Turkmen President, New Turkish Ambassador Discuss Further Development of Cooperation
Newly appointed Ambassador of Turkey presented his credentials to the Turkmen Leader.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received on Monday the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan Togan Oral.

President of Turkmenistan and his guest exchanged views on the main directions of development of interstate partnership based on the principles of mutual benefit and long-term perspective.

The sides outlined trade and economic sphere, energy, construction and textile industries, transport and communication sector among priority directions of bilateral cooperation.

The interlocutors emphasized the role of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Turkish Commission and Joint Business Council as important mechanisms for expanding and diversifying the effective partnership.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov also received Ambassador Oral on Monday.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomats noted that the high-level mutual visits play a vital role in the advancement of Turkmen-Turkish relations based on the principles of mutual respect, openness and trust.

Turkmenistan has established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Turkey in 1992.
