President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on Thursday on the prevention of infectious diseases.
The event was attended by deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of Ashgabat and velayats, leaders of the military and law enforcement agencies, relevant ministries and departments and the Emergency Commission to combat the spread of diseases.
Agenda of the event included the issues of disease prevention and improving medical care for the population.
In this regard, aspects of developing a strategy to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and influenza were also discussed.
“Today, protecting human health is one of the most important priorities of the state’s social policy. This is the state of life of nation and every person,” the Head of State noted.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that a set of relevant preventive measures is being carried out in the country, which significantly reduces the risk of a disease.
The Turkmen Leader also assigned the relevant heads of state mass media to organize awareness-raising programs and educational activities in order to comply with hygiene rules and cleanliness standards.
