Ashgabat will host on February 6-7 a meeting of representatives of the Caspian littoral states to discuss a draft Agreement between the Governments of the Caspian littoral states on cooperation in the field of scientific research in the Caspian Sea.
The meeting is held in order to develop cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Caspian states, to carry out various works on the Caspian Sea on a scientific basis, to monitor natural and man-made phenomena, as well as to consolidate and expand the legal basis in forecasting systems.
In addition, a meeting of representatives of the Caspian littoral states will be held on February 3-5 in Ashgabat to discuss the draft Protocol on Cooperation to Combat Illegal Fishing (Poaching) of Biological Resources of the Caspian Sea.
The second meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian littoral states on draft intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in the field of Securing Maritime Safety in the Caspian Sea was also held on Friday in Ashgabat.
