President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov introduced several changes to the government’s structure at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.
The industrial complex was separated from the transport and communication complex. As a result, separate transport-communication and construction-industrial complexes were created that are accountable to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Turkmen Leader then approved a list of ministries and industry departments, which are supervised by deputy prime ministers for transport-communication, construction-industrial, and trade complexes.
During the government session, the Head of State signed a Decree on establishing the Ministry of Industry and Construction Operations of Turkmenistan authorizing to abolish the Ministry of Industry and Communication of Turkmenistan and its Türkmensenagat Agency and establish the Ministry of Industry and Construction Operations of Turkmenistan on their basis.
