President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Sergey Kogogin, the General Director of KAMAZ Public Joint Stock Company on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Kogogin emphasized the great interest of foreign countries’ business community in Turkmenistan and confirmed KAMAZ’s interest in the consistent expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed the prospects for the implementation of joint investment projects in various areas of the economy. In this context, the General Director voiced a number of proposals taking into account the priorities of state development of Turkmenistan and KAMAZ’s interest in actively participating in the implementation of programs underway in the country.
Turkmen President highly appreciated the many years of positive experience of cooperation with the Russia’s leading automobile manufacturer and expressed interest in further deliveries of high-quality equipment of the world-renowned brand to Turkmenistan.
Kogogin said the country represents one of key markets for KAMAZ and noted that the company will continue to take the most responsible approach to fulfilling its partnership obligations, including the construction of service centers, and further improving the skills of personnel serving the modern equipment.
Kogogin also made proposals for introducing advanced technologies and company’s latest developments.
In June last year, the Turkmen President signed a Decree on the acquisition of 2,000 units of Kamaz trucks. Turkmenistan received the trucks in several phases.
