The Russian company Vozrozhdenie is ready to join the construction of the North-South international transport corridor, the Director of the company’s Turkmenistan branch Alexander Petrov says in his opinion article published by the Neytralnyi Turkmenistan newspaper on Thursday.
“The construction of the North-South transport corridor will strengthen Turkmenistan’s position in international trade by ensuring uninterrupted high-speed transit of goods through its territory,” Petrov says. “The transport corridor will also complement the already launched and successfully operated North – South railway.”
Petrov notes the strategic nature of Turkmen-Russian cooperation, adding that “the leading Russian companies have long and successfully been operating in the Turkmen market in such important sectors as transport, fuel and energy, oil and gas, and construction.”
Vozrozhdenie, with rich experience in road construction and a fleet of road-building equipment of leading brands, presented on the sidelines of the first Caspian Economic Forum in August last year the project of a complex of anti-mudflow structures in Ashgabat.
Vozrozhdenie has been conducting road construction works in Turkmenistan for more than 10 years. The company has successfully built and commissioned over 20 infrastructure facilities, including more than 50 km of roads and 18 road junctions and bridges.
Saint Petersburg-based Vozrozhdenie was founded in 1988. The branch of the company, Vozrozhdenie-Turkmenistan, has been operating in the country since 2009.
