The Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Governor of Saint-Petersburg Alexander Beglov in the framework of his working trip to the Russian Federation On February 18-20.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on further deepening of cooperation, including the intensification of cooperation in the area of construction and industry.

Beglov said the visit of the Turkmen Minister to Saint-Petersburg “is a confirmation of mutual interest in strengthening cooperation.”

Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of the development of relations and the richness of business contacts, adding that “St. Petersburg, due to its developed industrial and intellectual potential, has enormous opportunities for cooperation”.

At the end of the meeting, in the presence of Alexander Beglov, Turkmen Minister signed a memorandum of cooperation with the St. Petersburg-based company Petrosoft in the field of information technology and innovation.

During their working visit to St. Petersburg, the Turkmen delegation, led by Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov, also got acquainted with the activities of such companies as Vozrozhdenie, Blok, Argus-Spectrum and Smart.

The delegation of St. Petersburg, led by Governor Alexander Beglov, paid a visit to Ashgabat on February 13-14. During the visit, meetings were held with the President of Turkmenistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Mayor of Ashgabat and the head of the UIET.
