Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas Roadshow Kicks Off in Dubai

The International Conference entitled “TAPI - Gas Pipeline for Peace and Cooperation” and a forum to attract foreign investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan kicked off in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on Monday, Atawatan Türkmenistan magazine reports.

The first plenary session of the forum was chaired by the Chairman of the Turkmen-British Chamber of Commerce Ron Nash.

Speaking at the plenary session, Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on Oil and Gas Issues Yagshigeldi Kakayev urged foreign investors to invest in the country's oil and gas, as well as in the gas-chemical industries.

The Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahymberdi Jepbarov gave speech at the forum with a topic "Investment Opportunities of Turkmenistan" and acquainted foreign investors with the achievements of Turkmenistan in this direction.

Muhammetmyrat Amanov, CEO of the TAPI Pipeline Company Ltd consortium, gave speech on the topic “TAPI – the beacon for peace and cooperation” and underlined the importance of the TAPI gas pipeline in the region.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the UAE Serdarmammet Garajayev, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity & Water Authority Saeed Al-Thayer, Senior Advisor to the President of Afghanistan on Banking and finance Ajmal Ahmady gave speech at the first session of the forum.

The second Roadshow event will take place in London on July 7-8, 2020.
