Businessman Ruslan Abdullayev grows 4 varieties of strawberries in his greenhouse in Lebap velayat’s Charjev etrap in the northeastern Turkmenistan.
In an interview with the newspaper Türkmen Gündogary, specialist Nargiza Babamuradova, who has been employed in the greenhouse since its opening, said 1.5 tons of the crop was harvested from half a hectare last year.
Babamuradova said they are collecting up to 100 kg of the berry every day, adding that the collected strawberries “are immediately delivered to consumers”.
The greenhouse specialists have accumulated rich experience in growing tomatoes and strawberries. The greenhouse automatically regulates air circulation, irrigation, and fertilization and the crops are pollinated using bees.
