Top Diplomats of Turkmenistan, Turkey Discuss Bilateral Cooperation Over Phone

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlut Chavushoglu on Tuesday.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation, including the economic and humanitarian issues. The diplomats underlined the trustworthy and open character of Turkmen-Turkish relations.

The officials noted the necessity for strengthening cooperation in different spheres and agreed to continue active dialogue.

The telephone conversation took place upon the initiative of the Turkish side.

Turkmenistan established diplomatic relations with Turkey in 1992.
