Turkmenistan to Develop Education Materials With World Intellectual Property Organization
The parties exchanged views on the WIPO activities in the last years, the role of intellectual property in innovations, and the protection of intellectual property in the region.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a video conference meeting between representatives of several ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and international experts of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on Thursday.

At the beginning of the meeting, the WIPO experts noted the contribution of Turkmenistan to economic growth for the society interests and noted that thus Turkmenistan stimulates creative activity and innovation.

The parties exchanged views on the WIPO activities in the last years, the role of intellectual property in innovations, and the protection of intellectual property in the region.

The international experts underlined that distance learning is a widely-used method, and emphasized their willingness to assist Turkmenistan in developing educational programs, continuing professional development and providing relevant education materials in this direction.

Turkmenistan has been a member of the WIPO since 1995.
