IMF Mulls Economic Situation with Countries of Central Asia, Caucasus
The parties discussed a wide range of key economic issues of mutual interest via video link.

A meeting with the representatives of International Monetary Fund (IMF) was held via video link at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan on Thursday.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, management of the Ministry of Finance and Economy and Central Bank of Turkmenistan, representatives of the IMF, ministers of finance and economy of the Caucasian and Central Asian countries attended the video conference.

The meeting participants discussed a wide range of key economic issues of mutual interest. The parties also exchanged views on regional and global issues.

The participants also negotiated on the measures implemented by Turkmenistan on governmental level to mitigate the negative impact of global crisis, which is a result of the pandemic.

The parties discussed the treats and challenges to the global economy, considered the joint actions for their resolution and exchanged views on the development of economic integration.
