International Union Shares Experience on Road Freight Operations With Turkmenistan
The meeting participants discussed the preliminary introduction of electronic documents on the registration of automobile vehicles and cargos entering and transiting Turkmenistan.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a video conference meeting with the experts of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) on Friday.

During the meeting, the experts of IRU informed about the advanced experience of the countries in overcoming the difficulties in shipping operations and about the international legal documents regulating such matters.

The experts also presented the system for pre-declaration of international shipments TIR-EPD, the web-based software that enables to submit electronic pre-declarations to customs authorities in different countries. 

The participants also discussed the preliminary introduction of electronic documents on the registration of automobile vehicles and cargos entering and transiting Turkmenistan. 

The Turkmen side was represented by the heads and representatives of a number of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, including the State Customs Service, Mejlis (Parliament), Central Bank, Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Motor Transport), Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways), Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Seaways) agencies, and the representatives of Turkmen Association of International Automobile Carriers.
