Ashagabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, joined the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTOF) on May 1.
As part of the cooperation, Ashgabat will participate in programs for the development of the tourism sector, exchange experience with other cities and member companies of the organization, establish and promote services for travelers based on the best world practices.
The Federation includes cities such as Bangkok, Budapest, Cairo, Dublin, Hamburg, Jakarta, London, Milan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Prague, Wuhan, Zurich and many other tourism destinations.
Established in 2012, The WTOF is headquartered in Beijing and is recognized as one of the fastest growing international tourism organizations.
