Turkmen, Russian Deputy Prime Ministers Discuss Expansion of Economic Cooperation
The Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation was established in 2003.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk on Wednesday.

The parties discussed the prospective issues of intensifying cooperation in the framework of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation taking into consideration previously determined vectors of expanding bilateral trade-economic ties.

The sides considered issues of close collaboration on combatting the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the talks, the parties also discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the telephone conversation of the presidents of Turkmenistan and Russia on Tuesday.

The Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation was established in 2003 in order to expand bilateral economic cooperation in the economic sphere.
