New Container Train on China-Turkmenistan Route Reaches Gypjak Station
The train route was launched by Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan in collaboration with KTZ Express and Xinjiang KTZ International Logistics Co.Ltd.

The first container train on China-Turkmenistan route with transit through Kazakhstan reached Turkmen station Gypjak on Wednesday. The train route was launched by Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) Open Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Kazakhstan’s KTZ Express and China-based Xinjiang KTZ International Logistics Co.Ltd.

The train departed from the Chinese station Jinan Nan, then through the Kazakh border stations Khorgos, Altynkol and Bolashak proceeded in the direction of the Gypjak station.

The container train, consisting of 44 forty-foot containers, traveled 15 days before reaching its final destination.

The new train route is expected to open up additional opportunities for trade and economic cooperation and to increase the volume of cargo flows.

Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan OJSC was established in July 2018. The company was created in order to effectively use the possibilities of international transport corridors passing through Turkmenistan, to help increase the volume of transit goods, and to develop logistics solutions for the delivery of transit, import-export cargo from the consignor to the consignee.
