A trilateral meeting between railway agencies of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran was held via a video link on Thursday.
The meeting gathered heads of Türkmendemirýollary agency, Uzbekiston temir yullari Joint Stock Company and Railways of Islamic Republic of Iran (RAI).
The meeting participants exchanged views on strengthening mechanisms for cooperation in the field of transportation and transit of rail and road freight across the state borders of the three countries.
In this regard, the parties also discussed issues related to the uninterrupted supply of products, including the coordinated action of the parties to ensure food security.
The heads of the transport ministries and departments of the three countries had a video conference meeting on May 12 over transport and transit cooperation. The sides had discussed joint measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, such as establishing disinfection tunnels, and freight transport.
