A two-day online presentation of expert recommendations for the digital transformation of print media in Turkmenistan started in Ashgabat’s Yyldyz hotel on Tuesday. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the OSCE Center in Ashgabat.
The presentation was facilitated by international experts from the Russian Federation who developed a comprehensive set of recommendations for the digitalization of print media.
Discussion topics included digital audience and digital content, newspaper websites in the digital environment and the creation of brand new products in a virtual environment.
Based on the discussion of the digital transformation of print media and their adaptation in a modern digital media environment, it is planned to expand the recommendations presented taking into account the comments and proposals of the Turkmen side.
In the framework of implementation of the Concept of development of digital economy of Turkmenistan for 2019 – 2025, periodicals will be digitized.
