Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation held a video conference on the theme “Russia-Turkmenistan: industry and construction – new opportunities for cooperation” on Tuesday, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) said in a press release.
At the meeting the Turkmen delegation consisted of representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the UIET, as well as other relevant entities of the country.
Vice-President of the Russia’s CCI Vladimir Padalko along with other Russian CCI representatives, Agropromalyans company, Vice-Presidents of the Lipetsk and St. Petersburg CCIs represented the Russian side at the meeting.
In the course of the event, the Turkmen side held the presentation on the capabilities of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan on exporting glass products, nonmetallic materials, polymer products, including aerated concrete.
“Türkmenturba” OJSC demonstrated a video which presented its capabilities in the supply of pipes for utility and drinking water systems, sewer systems and drop irrigation, and also informed of its needs for the procurement of a number of materials that are necessary for the production process.
The Russian side was also informed about the export opportunities of the Turkmen businesses, particularly on the supply of isogam, drywall, pipes, and other construction products.
Representatives of Russian business circles showed great interest in delivery of building materials produced in Turkmenistan. The parties agreed to explore all organizational and technical issues, paying particular attention to the transportation of goods.
