Turkmen, Kyrgyz Foreign Ministers Agree to Strengthen Bilateral Relations
Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyz Republic confirmed mutual interest in the promotion of political-diplomatic dialogue, strengthening of trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov on Thursday held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov.

According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministries statement, the ministers discussed a number of issues in the framework of bilateral and regional agenda.

The diplomats particularly confirmed mutual interest in the promotion of political-diplomatic dialogue, strengthening of trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

The parties reiterated the need to continue cooperation in the process of maintaining sustainable development in the region, including the provision of stability and security. The officials underlined the importance of coordinated actions on combatting the global coronavirus pandemic.
