Presidents of Turkmenistan, Iran Discuss Fight Against COVID-19 Pandemic
Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran exchanged greetings on the upcoming Kurban Bayrami (Eid al-Adha) and wished happiness and prosperity to the peoples of the two countries.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports.

According to report, the Presidents exchanged greetings on the upcoming Kurban Bayrami (Eid al-Adha) and wished happiness and prosperity to the peoples of the two countries.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed satisfaction with successful development of political, economic and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and Iran based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.

The Heads of State paid particular attention to the coronavirus pandemic, the rapid spread of which on a global scale has a negative impact on all aspects of international relations.

The Turkmen Leader said Turkmenistan fully supports the efforts made by the world community in the fight against COVID-19 and considers it necessary to develop coordinated steps to successfully counter this threat.

The President of Turkmenistan thanked his Iranian counterpart for his special attention to bilateral relations.
