Transit of Turkmen Oil Through Russia Grows Despite Global Pandemic
In January-July 2020, transit of Turkmen oil through Russia increased by 23.9% compared to the same period last year.

Transit of Turkmen oil through Russia amounted to 1.305 million tons in January-July 2020, according to the Russia’s Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK).

According to the CDU TEK data, the transit of Turkmen oil through Russia increased by 23.9% compared to the same period last year.

Over the past seven months of 2020, the transit of Kazakhstan’s oil through Russia increased by 3% to 9.498 million tons, and transit of Azerbaijan’s oil decreased by 91% and amounted to 29.5 thousand tons.

The message emphasizes that oil production in Russia decreased in January-July 2020 by 6.5% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 304.33 million tons.

The exports of Russian oil to non-CIS countries during the period also decreased by 6.8% to 134.053 million tons.
