Poland Intends to Expand Transport Ties With Turkmenistan
The Polish company PKP LHS joined the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route in June 2017.

Poland is interested in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan in the transport sector, Trend news agency reported on Wednesday with reference to the Polish Foreign Ministry.

Speaking on the importance of developing the transport sector, the Polish Foreign Ministry noted that the development of transport cooperation with Turkmenistan is important, especially in the context of facilitating the transportation of goods from China to the markets of the European Union.

China's position in world trade opens up prospects for the development of cooperation between Poland and Turkmenistan, said the Poland’s Ministry.

The Polish side also stressed that the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) is the basis for intensifying transport cooperation between Poland and Turkmenistan.

We are looking forward to the concretization of this platform, especially after the Polish company PKP LHS joined the TITR in June 2017, underlined the Polish Foreign Ministry.

The Poland’s Ministry added that both bilateral and multilateral formats of cooperation have significant potential for expanding the trade turnover between the two countries.
