CIS Countries Mull Cooperation in UN General Assembly

Ministerial consultations of the CIS member states on the agenda of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly took place in a video conference format last Friday, BelTA news agency reported on Monday with reference to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting gathered representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan (as an observer), Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee.

Representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs of the CIS member states discussed cooperation and priorities of the CIS states during the 75th session of the UN General Assembly and also the work of the General Assembly to implement the agenda for sustainable development through 2030.

The meeting participants also discussed the elections to the UN bodies.
