Turkmenistan, Russia’s Chuvash Republic Intend to Increase Export-Import Operations
The meeting participants discussed the further development of trade and economic cooperation, and cooperation in the field of education between Turkmenistan and Chuvash Republic.

Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan (the Russian Federation) Atadurdy Bayramov on Monday held meeting with the head of the Chuvash Republic of Russia Oleg Nikolayev.

According to statement by the government of Chuvash Republic, the meeting participants discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation, and cooperating in the field of education.

In January-August 2020, foreign trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Chuvashia amounted to $295.6 thousand ($201.8 thousand in the same period of 2019 and $193.1 thousand in the same period of 2018), according to the statement.

The expected average annual dynamics of growth of regional exports to Turkmenistan in the medium term (2020 - 2022) is 6%. Turkmenistan is assessed as a promising market for Chuvash manufacturers of doors, electrical equipment and metal structures.

The Consul General noted that it is important for Turkmenistan to establish export-import of goods, adding “we hope that in the near future we will be able to start this process at a more active pace.”

The parties also discussed partnership in the educational sphere. Presently 853 citizens of Turkmenistan are studying in the Chuvash Republic.

Chuvashia’s such enterprises as Himprom PJSC, Zheleznaya Manufaktura Urala LLC, Hydrant LLC, GRASK CJSC, Elinoks LLC, Akkond JSC, Dinamika NPP, VNIIR JSC, Cheboksary Aggregate Plant PJSC, ShZSA LLC export their products to Turkmenistan.
