Seydi Oil Refinery, located in Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat, has exported 23,840 tons of heavy vacuum gas oil since the beginning of 2020, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Thursday.
According to the report, in recent years, these products and the road bitumen produced at the plant, are in high demand among foreign consumers.
In addition, the refinery is consistently increasing its export deliveries of various products processed from crude oil and gas condensate. Thus, the plant successfully exported straight-run gasoline, diesel fuel and fuel oil.
The plant carries out targeted modernization of its production. According to contracts with the American company Westport Trading Europe Limited, the refinery launched a modern automated installation for the production of road bitumen in 2015.
The commissioned unit made it possible to produce not only road bitumen, but also heavy vacuum gas oil, which is the main raw material in the production of different types of high-quality lubricating oils.
Seydi Oil Refinery, the country's oldest oil refinery, is designed to process 6 million tons of crude oil annually. The plant produced 171.3 thousand tons of various types of gasoline in January-September of this year.
