Türkmenaragatnaşyk (Turkmen Communications) Agency’s postal service company Turkmenpost introduced service for tracking parcels in Turkmenistan through its updated website www.turkmenpost.gov.tm.
According to Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet’s Thursday report, to use the service, it is enough to enter the tracking number of the parcel in the relevant field on the company's website. This allows getting information on where and when the parcel passed, and its current location.
Tracking number is a unique code that allows to track the movement of a postal, in this case, across the country. According to the regulations of the Universal Postal Union, the tracking number consists of 13 characters, namely 2 Latin letters, 9 numbers and ends with 2 Latin letters indicating the country of the sender. The assigned tracking number is sent via SMS to the recipient.
The service automatically collects information from various sites of postal services and logistics companies so that the senders can easily track all their parcels in one platform.
The company offers many other services to the population, including the sale of train tickets, payment of utility bills, and delivery of mail to any country in the world that is part of the Universal Postal Union.
The postal company also provides opportunity to make non-cash payments on the Turkmenpost website and home delivery service to its customers.
