President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, together with his granddaughters, on Monday visited the country's main New Year tree, installed on the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center, TDH news agency reports.
The guests were warmly greeted by the indispensable heroes of the New Year's holiday - Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk, who, on behalf of the younger generation and all citizens, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Turkmen Leader for his care for children, creating excellent conditions for their comprehensive development and quality education opportunities.
The Head of State, in turn, congratulated all the children of the country on the New Year, wishing them good health and success in their studies. In accordance with the tradition, the President of Turkmenistan and his granddaughters walked around the New Year tree.
Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center has traditionally been chosen as the main venue for the beloved New Year's holiday, which the people of Turkmenistan welcome with joy, in peace and harmony. The fairytale town also has shops selling various souvenir products that can be purchased, including using modern payment methods.
In addition, the Döwletliler Köşgi Palace hosted an event dedicated to the New Year, during which gifts from President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were presented to children.
