A new recreation area will be built on the shore of Altyn Köl (Golden Lake), located in the north of Turkmenistan’s capital of Ashgabat, in 2021-2024.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant Resolution during an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, TDH news agency reports.
In accordance with the document, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan is instructed to develop a master plan for the recreation area within 3 months and to hold a tender to select contractors for the construction of relevant facilities and buildings.
In June last year, Turkmen President participated in an opening ceremony of a complex of leisure facilities built on the shore of the lake.
