The Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan (Russia) organized a meeting via video conferencing, in which it invited private structures of the Chuvash Republic and the Perm Krai of Russia to actively participate in the work of the Trading House of Turkmenistan registered on March 11, 2021 in Kazan.

The Turkmen side was represented by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Rejepov, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Construction Production, the Deputy Minister of Textile Industry, and members of the Board of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), the General Consulate of Turkmenistan in Kazan told Business Turkmenistan.

The Russian side was represented by the Minister of Economic Development and Property Relations of Chuvash Republic Dmitriy Krasnov, as well as his Deputy Denis Spirin, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Sergei of Chuvash Republic Lekarev, the head of the Cheboksary branch of the Representative Office of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the city of Nizhny Novgorod Alexander Pogodeikin, the head of the Center for Export Support of the Chuvash Republic Grigoriy Danilov and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Perm Territory Oleg Zhdanov.

The parties noted the need to take effective steps to further increase foreign trade turnover, including using the potential of small and medium-sized businesses. As part of the discussions on assistance to entrepreneurs and private structures in building trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the above-mentioned regions of Russia, the sides noted the importance of facilitating each other in obtaining entry visas, uninterrupted transportation of goods and financial settlements.

The meeting participants noted that the forthcoming VI Summit of the Heads of the Caspian States in Turkmenistan in 2021 can serve as an effective platform for expanding cooperation between the regions of Russia located in the Volga-Kama basin and Turkmenistan.
