Central Asia-China Ministerial Meeting to Take Place This Year

The deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and China in an online meeting on Tuesday discussed preparations for the second ministerial meeting in the Central Asia-China format, scheduled to take place this year.

The Turkmen side at the meeting was represented by the Deputy Foreign Minister Berdiniyaz Myatiyev, according to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry’s press release.

The meeting participants discussed the topics of the upcoming meeting at the level of foreign ministers in the Central Asia-China format, made their proposals on the preliminary agenda of the upcoming meeting and considered draft joint final documents.

The officials also discussed key aspects of cooperation in the political and diplomatic line, and in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The first ministerial meeting in Central Asia-China format was held via a video link on July 16, 2020.
