Business Circles of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan Consider Promising Areas of Cooperation

A business forum between the business circles of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan was held in a video conference format on Thursday. The forum focused on searching and determining mutual interests, and considered promising areas of cooperation between companies in construction, transport and logistics, the Baku-based Trend news agency reports with reference to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan

The business forum gathered representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), the Türkmen Logistika Association and the Caspian Energy Club, as well as top managers, executives and other representatives of leading companies of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

The forum participants noted the importance of regularly holding such meetings, and organizing joint exhibitions, fairs, forums for mutual acquaintance of the business circles of the two countries - Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan – with investment, economic and export opportunities.

In March 2020, during the official visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Azerbaijan, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan.
