Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow Invites Kazakh President to Visit Turkmenistan
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow noted that Kazakhstan is the main partner of Turkmenistan in Central Asia.

In a telephone conversation on Thursday, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow invited his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to visit Turkmenistan in order to discuss relevant issues of bilateral cooperation and sign important agreements, the Press Service of Kazakh President announced in a statement.

The Heads of State of the neighboring countries exchanged views on the prospects of development of the Kazakh-Turkmen multifaceted cooperation, strengthening friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized Kazakhstan’s readiness to further develop multilateral ties with Turkmenistan in the interests of the countries’ peoples.

In turn, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow noted that Kazakhstan is the main partner of Turkmenistan in Central Asia.

The sides reiterated their readiness to join Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan’s efforts in order to step up the volume of mutual trade and implement joint projects in the spheres of industry, agriculture, energy, transport, and logistics.

They also agreed to hold a session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission this year which will give an additional impulse to bilateral cooperation.

During the phone talks, President Tokayev also expressed his deep condolences to Turkmen Leader over the demise of his father.
