The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov and the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov in a meeting in Nur-Sultan on Thursday discussed trade-economic ties between the countries.

During the meeting, the minister focused on the further development of sea transportation, including feeder transport between the Aktau Sea Trade Port and the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port, the Press Service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan said in its statement.

In turn, the Turkmen side expressed interest in purchasing products of Kazakh enterprises and expanding the transit of goods in all directions.

Aktau port is located on the east coast of the Caspian Sea and is meant for the international transportation of various dry cargoes, crude oil and oil products. The port includes an open space of nearly 80 thousand square meters and a roofed transit warehouse of 2 thousand square meters.
