President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan on June 27-28, the Press Service of the Kyrgyz President reported on Thursday.
Within the framework of the visit, Sadyr Japarov will hold bilateral talks with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in narrow and expanded formats, according to the statement.
The Presidential Press Service added that the leaders of the two countries will discuss priority areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as topical issues of interaction within the framework of regional and international organizations.
The Kyrgyz President will then pay an official visit to Tajikistan. During his visit on June 28-29, he is expected to hold bilateral talks with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
During a meeting of Jogorku Kenesh (the Kyrgyz parliament) last Thursday, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov noted that Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov during his visit to Turkmenistan will discuss issue of importing Turkmen natural gas.
