During the Friday meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reassigned, relieved and appointed a number of vice-premiers and other government officials of the country.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dismissed Merdan Annadurdyev from his post due to his transfer to another job.
The Head of State appointed Gadyrgeldi Mushshikov as the new Chairman of the Central Bank, relieving him of the post of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers overseeing the country’s financial and economic complex.
Turkmen President then announced his decision to appoint Serdar Berdimuhamedov as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations, dismissing him from the post Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber, and withdrawing him from the State Security Council.
The Head of Turkmenistan instructed the Vice-Premier Serdar Berdimuhamedov to analyze the impact of the current difficult situation in the world on the domestic economy, to continue to take the necessary measures to ensure the sustainable development of local industries.
Continuing the meeting, Turkmen President appointed Dovlet Tashliyev as new Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber. He previously served as the deputy head of this government structure.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dismissed Shamuhammet Durdyliyev from the post of the Vice-Premier and, taking into account his vast experience in the construction field, transferred him to the Directorate of Construction Enterprises of Ashgabat City.
The Head of State appointed Charymyrat Purchekov as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of construction, industrial and energy complexes, Türkmenhimiýa State Concern and the capital's administration, relieving him of the post of Minister of Energy.
Due to the transfer to another job, Yaztagan Gylyjov was dismissed from the post of Hyakim (Mayor) of Ashgabat.
Rahym Gandymov became the new head of the capital's administration. Before his new appointment, he held the post of Minister of Construction and Architecture.
Turkmen President assigned Guvanch Orunov to the post of Minister of Construction and Architecture.
The Turkmen Leader also announced his decision to abolish the post of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of communications and transport institutions, and expressed gratitude to Bayramgeldi Ovezov for his work in the post.
President of Turkmenistan then announced the establishment of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers and appointed Mammethan Chakiyev to the post of Director General of the new Agency.
During the government meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also reprimanded the Chairman of Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways) Agency Azat Atamyradov for the shortcomings in his work.
